Early square dial long case clock by Isaac Hasius Haarlem

A small long case clock having a 12“ square dial and signed „Isaac Hasius Haerlem“ on the chapter ring. The weight-driven, 8-day, 5-pillar, latched movement having Dutch striking and  alarm, with seconds pendulum The velvet covered brass dial, having a silvered chapter and seconds ring, the winding holes and date aperture with protective ring inserts, the gilt brass hands pierced and angraved. The walnut veneered oak case having a carved lenticle, the elaborate hood with carved frieze and side-panels, surmounted by carved crestings with birds, fine barley twisted columns and carved Corinthian capitals flanking the dial, Total height 7’5“ (226 cm). Circa 1710.
