Traditional Frisian stool clock
weight driven movement of one day duration, twisted brass pillars on a square basement as a posted frame connecting the iron top and bottom plate, vertical verge escapement, striking full on the hours and one stroke on the half hours on a single bell via count wheel, alarm;
polychrome painted iron dial plate with a single cast brass hand for the hours;
polychrome painted oak stool, so-called ´ears’ to the backboard, leaden ornaments decorated with leaf gold;
height ca. 70 cm, to be dated 2nd quarter 18th century.
