An elegant burr thuja 8-day striking longcase clock, signed John May, London, 12" square dial, seconds dial and date, the case veneered with burr thuja (Thuja occidentalis), complete with original caddy en gilt wooden ornaments supporting the hood typical for the period, 263 cm high including finial, around 1720.
