Elegant long case clock, month movement, anchor escapement and seconds pendulum, quite exceptionally not only striking full on the hours on a single bell, but also one stroke on the half hours and having an alarm built within the plates of the movement , 12” square brass dial, silvered brass chapter ring bearing the signature JonaMarsh London, aperture for date and seconds dial in the matted centre, seaweed marquetry case upfront, the sides veneered with well-figured walnut, a fixed caddy to the top crowned by leaf gilded balls, height 242 cm without finial and 252 cm incl. finial and support,  circa 1715.
