An impressive and
extraordinairy French Louis XVI 8-day striking mantel clock, the enamal
dial signed Albert Baillon à Paris, the massive movement signed
Courvoisier à Paris, silk suspended pendulum, ebony veneered wooden
base, original gilding and patination, 50 cm high and wide, ca. 1780.
The different
signatures on dial and movement could mean that Courvoisier delivered
a movement to Albert Baillon.
