This « Capucine » Empire travelling clock is signed Richard à Lyon, has an 8-day movement with anchor escapement, silk suspension regulated through the top of the case, rack striking on a bell, full on the whole hour and one stroke on the half hour and alarm. The signed enamel dial has Roman ciphers and steel hands. The original polished brass case surmounted by a stirrup handle, bell and four turned finials, standing on turned brass feet, opening side and back doors. Height without handle 27 cm, circa 1810.
