A traditional, high quality Louis XVI mantel clock, large 8-day circular movement, anchor escapement, silk suspended pendulum, striking the full hours and one stroke on the half hour on a single bell, outside count wheel, enamal dial, signed Millet Loizillan à Tours, ormulo mounts on white and black marble, original mercury gilding, crowned by an eagle, height 73 cm, ca. 1780.
