An exceptional avarage sized bracket clock, 24-day movement on springs, original verge escapement, thread suspended pendulum, striking full on the hours and one stroke at the half hour on a single bell, outside locking plate, signed on the back plate of the movement Musson à Paris, a cast, chased and gilded brass relief dial with 25 cartouche enamal pieces, blue Roman numerals for the hours, black Arabic numerals for the minutes, the centre piece signed Musson à Paris, a greenish coloured oak case and bracket, veneered with Indian buffalo horn, rare with brass inlay, ormolu mounts with original gilding, signed on case and bracket B. Lieutaud. Height 105 cm incl. bracket. Date around 1760.
