Pendule religieuze signed Louis Baronneau à Paris

A classical pendule religieuze, 8-day movement, 2 spring barrels and verge escapement, thread suspended pendulum with cycloidal cheeks, striking the hours in full and the half hour by one stroke on a single bell, outside locking plate numbered 1 to 12, the back plate of the movement signed L. Baronneau à Paris, velvet covered iron dial plate, engraved and gilded brass chapter ring, the minutes numbered from 1 to 60 on the outer ring, pierced, engraved and gilded brass hands, a large, cast, chased and gilded brass dial mount underneath the chapter ring, bearing the signature Louis Baronneau Paris, the construction of the wooden case in walnut and fruitwood,  surmounted by a moulded arched pediment, the front inlaid with red coloured turtle shell, pewter inlay and brass linings, the sides with red coloured turtle shell panels and brass linings, three vase shaped finials, on gilded brass ball feet, height incl. finial 53 cm, ca. 1680.
